looking back

Life has a habit of getting in the way of one's creativeness, and around here that is how its been lately, with the clamouring of ignored paperwork and impending deadlines making themselves felt, and upchucking little boys (all at the same time of course!) Thankfully, the little boy is old enough now to keep his upchucking into the provided bowl! Makes clean up so much easier!

Anyhow, you may gather there hasn't been time or energy to spare for whipping up pages, so I've wandered back through some pages and found this one, from when that little boy was a wee bit tinier.

Not a lot of journaling, but those few lines do remind me vividly of those days! Sometimes you don't have to write an essay to convoy your thoughts or story.

The title was a laser cut raw chipboard (possibly from Remember When?) that I simply rubbed kids blue paint on with my finger (as messy and creative as I ever get!)

I'll be back on Friday with one of the new changes around here - a bit of a chat, a Q & A, an all in, what-do-you-think-about-this, sort of post! See you then!

  1. A great reminder that journalling can be evocative and uncomplicated at the same time. :) Such a wonderfully vivid blue. Sorry to hear about the upchucking (like the phrase), though ... Hope it'll be over soon, and the office fairy will whizz through your paperwork for you.

  2. Sharon, your title is so striking!
I hope the little man is recovering quickly and that his Mum zooms through her work :)
I agree on the journaling too, sometimes a well phrased sentence is all you need to bring back a flood of memories!

  6. Love this page! Ladies just wanted to say thanks for your advice re printing the other day...went to Harvey Norman yesterday and got my first 8 x 10 print in matte (based on a Cathy Z template)...came home stuck it on some black card, added a strip down the bottom and it came up a real treat! Loved it and so easy!! I was just wondering when it comes to larger projects like holidays do you go with photobooks and if so any recommendations? We went to Gold Coast last year and I was thinking of attempting a photobook but not sure?
