super simple and summery

I do hope I've not posted this here before; I have mangoes on my tree again waiting to get ripe, and also parrots seems to have appeared with the lovely rain we got last night, and they too are waiting for them to get ripe. Sadly it seems some of them can't wait, and are getting stuck into the mangoes already.

Digital page, not sure if its a CZ template or one I made myself, I honestly can't remember. Someone else might be able to recognise it!

The end of the school year is nigh and plans are being made for the holidays - nothing too solid, but talk of swimming and creeks and sleepovers and santa. I believe the wet season feeling we have today (rain, oh lovely rain!)  is contributing to that feeling!

Thanks for dropping by!

  1. Hi Sharon,
How about a lesson on how to make and use a basic digital template. I have photo shop elements 2.0 (seriously time to update, I know. Will have to con hubby)but all the photoshop is similar, just a bit more fancy each update. I do not digital scrap at all. I am all hands on and would love to learn, even if only to print some photo blocks and add them to pages. Thanks Annette

  3. Annette. You can download a trial of the latest PSE for a 30 day free trial. Give that a go first before you buy it.

  4. That's great advice Di and, I think from memory, Cathy Zielske has made videos of step by step instructions for photo collages. If not, I am sure that between us we could pop up a tutorial at some time. :-)

Great page Sharon, despite my dislike of said fruit, the colours are beautiful!

  6. brilliant!! LOVE the subject and that pp is fab! We all had a mango for dessert last night, except for the Canadian who doesn't appreciate a good Aussie mango.

  8. You're absolutely right Sharon ... nothing says Summer like mango. In fact I have an identical photo of cut mango on my blog from last summer, and have been taking photos of my mango tree just this week, only now you'll think I'm copying if I blog about it! I just love the colours of your page and that pattern.

  9. firstly Annette, I followed a free Jessica Sprague tutorial which finally had me understanding layers, which I will link up for you. It might also help you Fiona in understanding how to manipulate layers, which is the same whether scrapbooking or designing a poster.

I should have said that the photo of the cut mango was lifted from google images, but that is how I eat em (and we then make sure we chew the rest of the seed) and Fiona go right ahead and do your blog post! I am sure you have some brilliant recipe or insight into their mango-ey goodness.

Doesn't matter if you others don't like mangoes, means all the more for the rest of us!

Although I don't like mango with anything else, espc. icecream. I like mine straight, and icy cold.

  10. One of the things I love about 'Blogland' is seeing the diversity of all our lives....I've never known anyone who had a mango tree!
