Tools ...

Sharon's crazies took over this week so I am here instead ... actually, that doesn't sound so good - she's just busy!

Like so many other hobbies, scrapbooking, photography and memory keeping have a huge range of tools to enable us to create the style of pages we love in our albums.
Even though I predominantly scrap in a digital format, I still have some essential paper supplies that are used for hybrid pages and projects.

A steel ruler, craft knife, double sided tape and a large self healing mat sit out ready for me to use when the opportunity presents. Funnily enough, tools to help me make pages have never really been on my radar, but, photography equipment is never far from my thoughts!

With that in mind, I have three questions for you today.

1. What tool do you always reach for when making a scrap page?
2. Which tool is sitting at the bottom of your tote or on the top shelf barely used?
3. If you could have any tool or piece of equipment, what would it be?

Now, you know my answer to number one, number two is a paper trimmer which I bought about a month after I started scrapping and I thought it never cut straight .... number three, well, that would be a super duper large screened laptop - not being portable puts a severe dent in my scrapping routine!

So, what what do you use most, what's hidden away ... and what would you really like?

  1. thanks for taking over for me today Amy, I don't have any room in my head at the moment to formulate a suitable blog post! I can however answer questions...
    1. I LOVE my paper cutter (fiskars) I do not get on with a craft knife and the couple of times I tried, the results were disastrous. I also use a big green craft mat, its measurements/lines are invaluable.
    2. A shape boss/embossing thing I bought many many many years ago, actually I may have given it away, I can't see it anywhere! it was a total waste of money for me.
    3. a 1 1/4" circle punch is on my list. The only thing on my list actually (apart from some page protectors)

  2. Great topic! Here are my answers...
    1. I'm the same as Sharon, my fiskars Paper Cutter, I'm not good with the craft knife either!
    2. Those silly fiskars circle cutting templates & the cutter. The few times I used it, I never got an even circle!
    3. To tell you the truth, I really don't need anything! That is one of the bonuses of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!!

  3. I love my craftRobo. I use it most days. It's not the latest machine with all the whistles and bells because I can't afford that. Mine is the earlier one that connects to my puter. I do all my titles on it and I have used some templates that other more clever people have created.
I don't have anything that I don't use. My cousin scraps with me and between us we use everything that's here most of the time.
on my list of things to get are a new snowflake punch because I broke my original one and a set of flower punches graded in size. I love punches nearly as much as my craft robo
