lucy at 7

This is one of my favourite and easiest ways of journaling - I do this for my kids often. It is a collection of points, saying what they do, where they go, what they like, what they don't like at a particular age.  They love to look back on something like this. If you don't journal much, do this!! Your kids will thank you one day. Double click on image to get some ideas.

What is something that your kids do, right now?

  3. I love it too - what really appeals to me is how there is such large area for journaling and the page still looks vibrant, classic and pretty wonderful!

  4. Well, I will assume that mean other than yelling and screeching at one another?!lol

At the moment, since it has been such a wet and cold school holidays, they are into box creations, well, they are any time of the year but it is in full force and I cannot keep up with purchasing enough 'boxed' products from the supermarket to cope with the demand!
We have cars, caravans, planes with parachutes, boxes within boxes that resemble jack in the boxes, space stations and houses just to name a few ... it is hard to keep up because what was a caravan yesterday is a space station today, there is much eye rolling!

  5. Love this idea and I love those strips of patterned paper - they look amazing!

Funnily enough my kids are into scrapbooking at the moment (even the boys)! They love it when I give them a photo a let them do a page. I have to hold my breath and not point out bad colour combinations or design issues...they love it and are very proud of what they are doing!! Sometimes they do pages that are actually very good! The best part is that I encourage them to tell the story of the photo which after all is what scrapping is all about!

  6. yesterday? it was playing "shops" and making a range of paper food to sell (pizza/cupcakes etc) all just drawn on scrap paper and cut out, but the drawings are very cute and inventive. made me think that they possibly would like the felt food that is all the rage at the moment.

I am taking the two girls here, the boy just shoots, drives or bashes things with a stick. ;-)

  7. Fabulous blog ladies! I'm not a 'simple' scrapbooker, but wish I could get the beauty you guys do, with less. Amazing work, amazing blog. Keep it up!

  9. Nicole, I just love this page! You know I love all your pages but this one totally catches my eye. The photo is gorgeous, so natural. The black background with bright strips is excellent and the info is perfect and so important. Love the little things. I'm going to do this page for sure. Your so right, but not only will the kids thank you but i love reading the pages myself that I have done like this from a few years ago...you forget the info so quickly! Thanks for the inspiration :)
