Challenge No 1

Welcome to our first challenge. We are very excited by all the positive feedback we have received about our blog. I really loved Rebecca's comment "You are all a breath of fresh air." Thanks Rebecca, that made our day.

Each week one of us will pop in and post a challenge. We would love for you to join in as often as possible and share what you have created. If you have a blog please link it up below. If not we have created a Flickr account so you can post your page there and then add it below. The aim of the challenge is to inspire you and for you to inspire us...for us all to share :)

This week I have created a simple template that can be downloaded here or can be used as a sketch to create a traditional layout.



I cropped the template to 8x10, printed it and mounted it on cardstock. Here in Australia we cant get 8.5 x 11 pages printed, the closest we can get is an 8x10. I have considered doing a big order of 8.5 x 11 and have them sent from USA but at this stage I am happy with what we have come up with. I like adding the letter stickers, some cardstock or pattern paper and a small embellishment.


I created this layout as I am trying to document news events that are significant. I figure my kids will enjoying knowing what made news when they where young.

Sharon created this cute layout and popped it onto cardstock. Sharon is our country farm girl. Pop over to her blog to see what life is like in real county Australia!

Nicole  has used the template as a sketch to come up with a very clever interpretation. Hungry... wondering what to have for breakfast this week check out what Nic had for lunch last week! YUMMO!!



Emma has used beautiful colours to create a simple layout where the gorgeous photo of her and her son takes centre stage. Pop over to her blog if you are a cardmaker and let Emma inspire you!

    I've come by way of Mel at 'I Speak Melsh'...she spoke very highly of your blog & when I read you had your first challenge up...well I HAD to check that out!!

    I've just spent a very happy half hour catching up on a few back posts & all the inspiration they contained!! I'm off now to add myself as a follower & copy that sketch (I'm a Paper & Glue girl!!) & will try & get an entry linked asap...DT & family commitments permitting!!! :)
